I was lucky to have met you through my best friend, Katy, and I always looked forward to our annual get-togethers for her birthday. They won’t be the same without you.
One of my fondest memories is of you completely stealing the show from the Meatloaf busker outside Selfridges. You started dancing as he sang, and the crowd got so into your performance that he eventually gave up and let you take centre stage. My cheeks hurt from laughing and I remember feeling in awe of you—so fearless, so full of life, completely unbothered by the city full of strangers watching. And they loved you for it. The cheers were deafening when you finished.
You truly were one of a kind. No matter what you were going through, you always radiated happiness and warmth. I feel so grateful for every ‘Katy Birthday’ we spent together.
I still can’t quite believe you’re gone. The world is a lesser place without you in it, but I will always carry the joy and light you brought with me in the memories we have. You will be so deeply missed. I hope you’re dazzling them wherever you are. Sleep tight darling. Lots of love xxxxxxxxx
